Revd. Jeremiah Pledger Seabrook

Waltham Heritage Warden, Richard Snodin, is researching a past rector of our parish – Revd. Jeremiah Pledger Seabrook.

If anyone has photographs or information on him I would be delighted to hear from them.

Jeremiah was a very colourful character; a superb horseman (he once rode in the Grand National under an assumed name), a true ‘British eccentric’ – and a great benefactor to the village.

He was a friend of my grandparents, and I already have a certain amount of interesting material on him – but sadly no photo… can anyone assist?

(We will shortly be adding him to the list of ‘Village Characters’.)
