This is the second photograph we have of a group of Waltham campanologists – both of which probably date back to the end of the 19th century (click here to view the other).

I’m not sure, but the gent on the far right may also feature with the other group – as well as on the photo of a small local orchestra (click to view). But with many of the men sporting impressive facial hair, they can all look very similar.

As ever, I’d be interested to discover where the photograph was taken. There’s a sign above the door in the background, but unfortunately the photograph is cropped just above the word ‘club’, so we’ll never know what kind of club it was.
