Croxton Park 1946

Croxton Park 1946

Many thanks to Phil for pointing us towards the wonderful photo of the hunt at Croxton Park which appeared in Life Magazine back in 1946.

Getting feedback and contributions makes spending time on the site worthwhile. Otherwise I get the feeling that I’m talking to myself!

With its abbey, racecourse, and mysterious ruins of a once-grand house, Croxton Park is one of the most historically fascinating places near Waltham. To make sense of it all, we really need to rack down a copy of Rev Hanlon’s history of the park. So if anyone knows where we could find one, please let me know.

As well as the photo (click here), we also have posted what little history we know of Croxton Park
